extreme sledding
We went to Hatcher Pass on Saturday for some "extreme sledding"...Alaska style! Never NEEDED goggles for sledding before, but they're a necessity on this run! We joined Rob, Isabel & their family for a fun afternoon.

show & tell
Claire's show & tell at preschool today was supposed to be an "Alaskan animal." She really wanted to bring Thomas as her show & tell, so asked me to dress him in an outfit that was an Alaskan animal. Well...don't have many of those, but did find one with a bear on it. I asked her if she really wanted to bring Thomas because the kids have all seen him before. She insisted that she did as "They only get to see his head, mom." OK! Why not? She is so proud of her little brother:) and did a great job showing him off today in front of her class. Sweet sister!

happy T
We continue to be amazed at how HAPPY Thomas is! He is constantly talking and laughing at each of us. All he needs is some eye contact and he just goes to town. He has a few "giggle buttons" that really get him going. Wish we could put a recording of it on the blog for you! There is simply nothing like the sound of a baby giggling. He still loves his changing table and kicks, wiggles, & swims the whole time....

A real live dolly!
The girls discovered this weekend that Thomas fits in their dolly stroller just perfectly! When they asked to put him in there at first, I told them they couldn't because his head wouldn't have any support. "No problem, mom! I'll just hold it!" Ella solved the problem and I couldn't say no:) He won't tolerate this forever, so why not?

Fancy Nancy
Claire & Thomas & I stayed home while the rest of the family snowmachined out to watch the Iditarod start in Willow. Gr'ma Sheryl gave Claire the book, "Fancy Nancy" and she is really into it....she picked out our tablecloth, teacups, centerpiece and got us all decked out for a "Fancy Nancy Supper." Like the book, we ate with our pinkies up and called eachother "Darling" We had parfaits for dessert, complete with kings crowns! What more could a little girl ask for?
