aimee & tyler

How blessed we were to be part of Aimee & Tyler's wedding day in August. Aimee has been loving on our kids since Claire was tiny. The day was beautiful and the bride & groom so happy, yet relaxed:) Just last week at bedtime Thomas prayed for them on their honeymoon....After prayers Claire said, "They're done with that already, Thomas!" Tom assured her that they really weren't:) We wish you a lifetime of love, happiness & the longest honeymoon ever, Aimee & Tyler!

What do you do with 4 kids after 29 days of consecutive RAIN? We're trying really hard to make lemonade out of our lemons at this house! One day we made animal masks out of paper plates. HOURS were spent on this...painting, drying, making the rubberband holders, and then acting as animals! Here's a peak at some of our other "coping strategies" this rainy summer...
The girls and I had a sleepover in the gazebo. The rain on the roof was loud, but relaxing too. We were SILLY to say the least! Goofy games, no technology, several "sneaky" treks back to the house to find snacks in the shop. FUN to giggle with my girls in the GIRLZEBO:)
The boys and I made "forests" for their train set out of egg cartons, popsicle sticks and paper. These boys LOVE scissors!!
Fresh playdough. There's nothing like it! Thomas didn't leave the table for 3 hours the day we made this fresh koolaide playdough. GREAT recipe. Let me know if you need it for your rainy day bag of tricks!
We had Claire's friend, Millea, over to celebrate with a sleepover! Millea and Claire went to camp together this summer and Millea asked Jesus into her heart:) YAHOO! And at snack time (did I mention it was raining?) they painted their faces with yogurt!!!

mom, dad & em

Mom, Dad & Emily visited this summer. We had a great time and stayed super busy finding fun!
I believe the theme of the trip was MUD. The girls got stuck in it, swam in it, & painted their faces with it. And I washed it!!! :) Life is short. Play in the mud, right?

Mom and Dad celebrated their 50th anniversary this summer! WAHOO! That's a lot of lovins' This photo reminds me of an earlier photo...hanging their heads out of their get-away car on their wedding day. Love it! Love them!
Mom went on her very FIRST go-kart ride with us!
And so did Owen!
We enjoyed a long weekend in Homer & caught a bunch of halibut. When we weren't fishing, we were playing on the beach...

The girls and I went on a raft trip together too. Thanks for the memories and the fun you three!
