9 months!

My dear friend, Stacy, insisted on taking pics of me pregnant last week.  I'd never done a real "belly photo shoot" so it was fun.  Thanks Stac...it will be good to have photo memories of pregnancy, ESPECIALLY since this is officially our last one:) 

Hopefully, I'll soon be holding Owen on the outside... 

the scared little rabbit

Claire's class play, "The Scared Little Rabbit" was today.  She played the part of Little Rabbit and did a fabulous job!  Mrs. Ouellette has never put the play on with kindergarteners before, so was a bit nervous having 2 kinder girls with the lead roles.  They amazed all of us and really rose to the challenge!  She ended her big day at gymnastics and was so proud to have climbed to the top of the rope today for the very first time.  We went out for supper (her suggestion:) to celebrate the big day.  She was WIPED out and ready for bed by the time we got home.

Well, it's official.  Tom is OLD:)  Ha!  I just registered us to attend his 20TH HIGH SCHOOL reunion!  We're both looking forward to it, but especially just being in MN with family we haven't seen in years!

Dear Gr'ma Sheryl,

Thank you for the dress.  I'm gonna wear it for church tomorrow.  I like the sparkly parts because they're pretty.  I like the shoes because they have diamonds on them!  I like the headband too.  Love, Claire 

god picked you

I must post this or I may forget it....I want and NEED to remember it always!  As I was changing Thomas' diaper last week, Claire finished brushing her teeth and said, "Mom, it's going to be a lot of work for you to have 4 kids."  I said, "Yes, it will, but I think if we all work together as a team it won't be too hard."  She said, "God picked you to have 4 kids and he knows you can do it!"  

He did, didn't He?  Out of the mouths of babes....I have always said that God speaks loudest to me through my own children.  Hearin' you, God!  Thanks for the encouragement!  Your timing is perfect as always...just as I find myself wondering, "How am I going to do this with one more?" And Claire....your sweet heart and wisdom for 5 years amazes me!  What a gift you are....

first ice cream cone

Thomas enjoyed his first ice cream cone today.  He enjoyed every moment..including the destruction at the end!  

goodbye cast!

The x-ray showed that Thomas' leg was completely healed, so his cast did come off yesterday.  PTL! He did NOT enjoy having it cut off, but it did intrigue the rest of us....They used a SAW (yes, a saw) but the nurse showed Tom how it wouldn't cut skin.  Next, she pried it apart with a pliers and finally cut the last layer with a scissors.  As to be expected, his leg is sore, and he isn't walking on it yet.  He does walk on it with support though (around furniture, pushing a toy,etc.), so we're thinking it will just be a few days and he'll be back in the swing of things.
