More Minnesota

The three T's...4,5 & 6!
ANT Dona & Uncle Mike.  I like to say aunt, the rest say ant, but she's more than a bug to me!

Owen meets Great Grandma Freida
Look at that GIGANTIC bowl of noodles...Great Grandma Freida's specialty.  She made noodles for weeks to feed us all!  Mmm...so tasty!
Games with Great Grandma Darlene
Riding horses was a big highlight for the girls...
We went to Pebble Beach one afternoon to swim...All four kids loved it!  It was fun to remember our "dating days" and memories of going to "Pebble" to hang out/lay out when Tom was a lifeguard.  These trucks that Thomas played with were Tom's when he was little!!!

3 months

back to school tea

Every year, I have a back to school tea party for the girls.  This year, I decided low-key (ie...no friends!) would be good. The menu: chocolate covered strawberries, pretzels, chai tea & bugels.  We had fun talking school....what they remember about their past years of school, some of my memories, & what they think school might be like when they are moms or grandmas.  Ella will tell anyone who asks that she is NOT looking forward to school.  Claire, on the other hand, is counting the minutes.  Both are super students and good friends in their classes, even if Ella won't admit it!  Backpacks are packed and clothes all picked out.  Hope this momma can hear the alarm and wake in plenty of time. At bedtime, Claire prayed, "& please help momma all day at home with the boys."   Amen, sister!

she's been pierced!

Yikes!  Ella came out of the bathroom looking like this the other day!!!! She and Claire had found their magnetic earrings. I made her raise her right hand and repeat after me.....
"I Ella, promise you mom, to NEVER come home with this many piercings ever!"  She thought it was hilarious and purposely left out the word never.  Oh Ella!
