Tough

Claire had a great season of gymnastics.  She loves the sport, and is always doing handstands or the splits or some other type of flexible thing around the house.  Late this winter, she shared that she'd really like to try basketball though.  She broke her pinky finger at her very first basketball practice and then had to compete in her state gymnastics meet the next day!  Oops.  She still did great at her meet though!   She is one tough cookie:) Actually, she got her highest score of the season on floor at this meet!   She's had a fun two months of spring basketball & is looking forward to more.... And I love to hear sisters playing basketball together in the driveway.

winter of the SKI

Wow. What an absolutely amazing winter we had! I don't know our total snowfall accumulation, but it is certainly one for the books in my opinion!! We skiied ALOT this winter... Alyeska, Hatchers Pass & in the backyard. My favorite, of course, is cross-country skiing on our lake, but I did give in & take a couple of downhill lessons. What a site I was:) I did master the chairlift though thanks to Brittany & Pam! I will say that this is the first winter I can ever remember feeling a tinge of sadness at seeing the snow melt and being done skiing for another 7 months....But then, we went for a family bike ride yesterday. I think I'll get over it!
