look out Nordstroms

Here are some more pics from Smith's stay with us.    Thomas adored his Grandpa Tom and couldn't get enough of his glasses or computer!  Thought you'd like to see the completed dress designed by Claire and sewn by Grandma...  Look out Nordstroms:) here she comes!

friends

On Friday, we celebrated Sarah's birthday.  It was so fun to love on her and spend time thanking HER for her friendship.  We enjoyed coffee (chai tea, for me please!) dinner and dessert at 3 different restaurants.  There were many laughs and as always it just felt good to get out and hang with the girls.  Thank you Sarah, Stacy, Marla & Amber for a fun night!  What would my life be like without friends?  I can't imagine!

How strong are you?

Thomas found his scream last night!  Could it be living with two big sisters?  Hmm...probably so!  We love his latest little trick too....we ask him, "How strong is Thomas?"  & he makes two little fists, grits his teeth and shakes his head with a huge smile and a giggle.  So fun!  Thomas is 14 months old already...

Designer Claire

Tom's parents are here right now and we're having a great time.  Enjoyed C'mas together on Sunday with a family walk/ski across the lake.  Ella shot Thomas' new little 22 rifle as well.  She was very proud to have hit the can just like Dad & Gramps did!  A few months ago, Claire asked if I could make one of her dresses fancy.  Since I'm a bit of a "sewing challenged" type of gal...I suggested that Gr'ma Sheryl would likely love to do that with her!  Claire remembered this discussion and we went shopping at JoAnne's today for acessories to sew onto her dress. We've decided that Claire may be a designer one day after our trip....she knew exactly what she wanted and where she wanted it sewn.  Of course, she was immediately drawn to the glitzy prom dress material section, but we steered her towards the bows and ribbons instead.  When we got home, she told us that she wants to go to school this summer.  "Why?" I asked.  "So I can wear a tank top to school!"  She certainly thinks about clothes a lot and carefully plans out her wardrobe each day:)And she's only 5.....sigh!
